I really like the thinking behind this tool. It basically takes physical, social, and geographic data from a community and uses MCDA to compare different water technologies based on how well they actually fit local needs. What stands out to me is that it moves away from the idea of finding one “best” technology and instead asks a more practical question: **what solution makes the most sense for this particular community?** and that it is built in Python and tested around desalination makes it even more interesting as a practical decision-support approach for water infrastructure planning.
